Privacy Policy

Freedom Technology, Inc.
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Last Updated: April 3, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Freedom Technology, Inc. ("Freedom Technology," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and retains information in connection with the Freedom Technology platform and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

This Policy applies to business customers ("Customers") and the employees and individuals whose data Customers submit to the Service ("End Users"). If you are an End User, your employer (the Customer) is the primary controller of your data. Questions about your employer's data practices should be directed to your employer.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive data from third-party payroll processors, benefits providers, or other integrated services in connection with transactions initiated through the Service.

3. How We Use Information

We use Customer Data and End User information broadly to operate and grow our business, including to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service

  • Develop new features, products, and services

  • Generate aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized insights and analytics ("Derived Data") for internal use and, where appropriate, commercial purposes — Derived Data does not identify you or any individual

  • Facilitate payroll and benefits workflows, including transmission to authorized third-party providers

  • Conduct internal research, modeling, and product development

  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats

  • Send service communications, product updates, and (where permitted) marketing communications

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. How We Share Information

4.1 Service Providers. We share information with vendors that help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, security, analytics). These providers are permitted to use data only as necessary to provide services to us.

4.2 Payroll and Benefits Partners. As directed by Customers, we transmit employee data to third-party payroll processors and benefits brokers. Once transmitted, that data is governed by the third party's own terms and privacy policy.

4.3 Derived Data. We may share or license Derived Data — which is aggregated and de-identified — with business partners, researchers, or other third parties without restriction.

4.4 Legal Compliance. We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or when necessary to protect Freedom Technology's rights, safety, or property.

4.5 Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, Customer Data may be transferred to a successor entity.

4.6 With Consent. We may share information in other ways with your explicit consent.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information — including SSNs, tax IDs, and banking data — against unauthorized access or disclosure. These include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitoring.

However, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or stored on the Service. You assume the risk of unauthorized access that is not directly caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. In the event of a breach, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for session management, security, and analytics. You may adjust cookie preferences in your browser, though doing so may impair Service functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies for behavioral marketing.

7. Data Retention

We retain Customer Data for as long as your account is active and for such additional period as necessary for legal compliance, dispute resolution, and business purposes. We have no obligation to retain data following account termination. Our rights to use Derived Data survive account termination indefinitely.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. Requests should be directed to the contact information below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Because End User data is submitted and controlled by the Customer (your employer), End User rights requests will generally be coordinated through the relevant Customer.

We reserve the right to deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including where fulfilling a request would interfere with legal obligations or legitimate business operations.

9. State-Specific Disclosures

California Residents: We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. For a description of your California rights or to submit a request, use the contact information below.

Other States: We honor applicable privacy rights under state law upon verified request. Use the contact information below.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy at any time. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
